Is Your Relationship Working or is it Stuck

My husband Tom and I have been married for 42 years. When people hear this the comments come thick and fast. Everything from ‘How wonderful!’ to ‘You don’t get that long for murder ha ha’ .

When people ask how we have managed to stay married for that long I usually say in a joking manner ‘We just didn’t get divorced!’ I can honestly say that there were times in our marriage that that was true. Now I am able to say that I’m glad that I didn’t get divorced because now I know that having Tom in my life makes my life greater. So what has changed?

Well when I was introduced to the tools of Access Consciousness I became aware that I could create my relationship with Tom every day instead of trying to maintain my relationship and keep it the same. I don’t have to hang onto judgements and points of view that don’t work and I don’t expect or project that Tom should change for me.

I can create my relationship from a blank slate by asking each day to uncreate and destroy everything that my relationship was yesterday. Does this sound too easy? Well it is easy you just have to ask.

When you are willing to start each day afresh you can begin to create your relationship anew by asking questions. Asking questions opens up the doors to something different and greater to show up.

Try asking this. What would it take to create my relationship greater today than it was yesterday?

When you are willing to do this everyday, when you are willing to uncreate and destroy your relationship everyday and when you are willing to ask questions you go from maintaining your relationship to creating your relationship.
